Perch Stool

A good introduction to the skills of Windsor chair making. You will learn how to carve the seat; drill and ream tapered mortises for the legs; turn the legs and stretchers. Days can be consecutive or to suit your schedule.
Two and a half day class Skill level: Suitable for beginners Cost: $800 (30% deposit with the balance due on the first day of the class)

Slightly more complex than a perch stool You will learn how to carve the seat; drill and ream tapered mortises for the legs; turn the stretchers; and plane the legs. Days can be consecutive or to suit your schedule.
Three day class Skill level: Suitable for beginners Cost: $1200 (30% deposit with the balance due on the first day of the class)

Fan back side chair

Enhance your chair-making skills by shaping the complex seat; use a drawknife and spokeshave to shape the spindles; turn the undercarriage; and shape the crest. Days can be consecutive or to suit your schedule.
Five day class Skill level: Best suited for people with prior woodworking experience Cost: $1700 (30% deposit with the balance due on the first day of the class)
